Today we speak with Xiaomin Li, Technical Deputy Director of Production Department Six and Manager of the Silicone Coating Workshop at Xinfeng. He joined the company from the shop floor and has spent his career building expertise in silicone coating operations.

  • Interviewer: You have been with Xinfeng for many years. What first brought you to the company, and why did you stay in the silicone coating workshop?
  • Xiaomin Li: I joined Xinfeng at the start of my career. I have seen the company develop, and I have built my skills along the way. Silicone coating is the heart of release paper production. Coating weight uniformity, curing temperature profiles, and silicone migration control—every one of these parameters determines how the finished sheet performs. Xinfeng gave me room to learn, test ideas, and improve. I moved from a new technician to a manager who can run the operation. That trust, and the chance to keep solving real production problems, are why I stayed.

  • Xiaomin Li: The company gave me opportunities to learn, take on responsibility, and grow. I built my technical knowledge and management skills here, on the floor, with the company's support. Without that platform, hard work alone would not have been enough. What I give back is straightforward: stable processes, consistent quality, cost efficiency, and a trained team. When we do these things well, the company is more competitive in the market. It is a mutual investment.

  • Xiaomin Li:They support each other. Commitment is the foundation; professional growth is the result. Without commitment, you do not stay long enough to build real expertise. Without expertise, commitment cannot create value.You need to connect your personal development with the company's development and align your goals with the team's goals. That is how you continue improving over time. For people in production, the simple truth is: when the company does well, we do well. When I do my job properly, the company performs better.

  • Xiaomin Li: Professional growth is not a solo effort. It works when your personal goals align with the company's goals. First, master your field. Learn your job thoroughly and execute every task to a high standard. Second, take ownership. Treat workshop problems as your own to solve. Find issues and fix them before they escalate. Third, share what you know. Xinfeng gave us opportunities to develop our skills. We give back by sharing technical knowledge, delivering results, and training the next generation. When personal growth supports company growth, both continue to improve.

  • Xiaomin Li: The production floor is where you understand the process. It is your classroom. Young people should stay focused and stay close to the work.Do not avoid difficult tasks. Treat every equipment setup, every process adjustment, and every quality check as an opportunity to learn. There are no shortcuts in process work. What matters is persistence. At Xinfeng, if you work hard, study the process, and take responsibility, you will be recognized and you will grow.
